Petra Ahlmark works with her project "A Tribute to João Gilberto" where she interprets the songs she has been inspired by for the last 15 years. She wants to pay homage to João for his innovative, rhythmic, melodic and sensitive way of making music with his voice and guitar. Back in the 50's but also today he's still brilliant. She enjoyed his solo concert at Olympia, Paris in the summer of 2003.
During the last two years Petra has performed solo concerts and clinics around Sweden and also visited Iceland. The first concert in the series which was held at Stallet in Stockholm dec 7 2007 attracted a lot of media attention and was very well received by the audience.

During 2009 Petra Ahlmark recieved the Swedish Margot och Tobis Award for her work as a musician in the the field of Brazilian Music.
